Keepin' Up with the Kauffmans: May 2009

Brandon and I have been married for 3 years now, and I can hardly believe it. We had a wonderful day together. My mom and dad watched Addison so that we could actually go out, just the two of us and spend some time together. It was wonderful. We always take Addison everywhere with us, I just do not like to leave her. But Brandon talked me into leaving her, because he wanted to take me to my favorite restaurant (Cork n Cleaver) and its not a place for kids. I really thought I would feel guilty or worry about her the entire time, but I didn't. Addi is getting so big and starting to have fun at grandma and grandpa's house. She swings on the swing and rides in the wagon....she loves it. So that helps. We had so much fun...we need to go out more often!

I love my husband so much and am so thankful for him everyday. God really could not have made anyone more perfect for me than him...he is amazing. But for some reason our anniversary has been a very emotional day for me for the last three years. We had hoped and honestly planned to have a baby by our first anniversary, but obviously that did not happen. I was crushed when this didn't happen, and it really took a toll on me emotionally. At our one year anniversary my goal became to have a baby by our second anniversary. And thankfully I was pregnant by our second anniversary, but I still had secretly wished I would already have a baby and not just be pregnant. Now that Addison is here, I am at such peace. God has showed me so much. His timing is PERFECT. It is so hard to see when you are in the midst of a struggle, but now I can see why everything happened the way that it did and how it all fell into place. I am trying to really trust the Lord for his timing in my life and enjoy every minute instead of planning my own life how I want it and being disappointed when it does not work out that way. He has NEVER let me down! And He has always made it even better than I could have even imagined :)!
